This 2019 LETRS 3rd Edition training provides educators with the background, depth of knowledge, and tools to teach language and literacy skills to every student. LETRS 3rd Edition bridges deep meaningful research into practical classroom strategies. Regardless of the literacy program used, this NEW and improved version of LETRS helps educators build a masterful understanding of the sciences behind reading. LETRS 3rd Edition should NOT be confused with LETRS Phase 3 (module) online training that was a component of the former LETRS training. Participants in this NEW version of LETRS have the opportunity to participate in a more intense, independent, online study that provides for less time out of the classroom for the face-to-face trainings.
Note: To attend LETRS 3rd Edition, prior completion of the older version of LETRS (Modules 1-8) is NOT required.
LETRS 3rd Edition registrants will receive access to the online coursework and workbooks approximately 4-6 weeks prior to their workshop of choice. All participants are to complete the online coursework PRIOR to the training. EVERY attendee, whether receiving credit or not, is to present a copy of their Certificate of Completion for Units 1-2 when they sign in the morning of the face-to-face training.
You will be provided approximately an hour to have lunch with your training colleagues on your own. Information on convenient local eateries will be provided at the training.
IF YOU HAVE A DISABILITY THAT WILL NEED AN ACCOMMODATION (WHEELCHAIR, HEARING IMPAIRMENT, VISUAL IMPAIRMENT, ETC.), PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY AFTER REGISTRATION SO THAT WE CAN BEST ACCOMMODATE YOU.
