Part C to B Transition - Indicator 12

The MDE, Office of Special Education, Division of Instructional Support is offering an engaging, hands-on regional training that will focus on Part C to B transition.  Participants will be provided information regarding the transition from Part C to Part B services, including the required timelines, documentation that is shared between Part C and B, and the responsibilities of each partner in the transition process.  Participants from Part C and B will also work together to create/update an individualized plan for their team, so both parties will know who is responsible for each step of the transition process.  There are no limitations on the number of participants per district. Registration is first-come, first-served.

Attendance Clause
Miss. Const. Art. 4, Section 66 Eligible attendees for this training includes teachers, counselors, and administrators who are employed by a school district or MDE. Unless specifically noted otherwise, external contractors or vendors may not attend. This event is being funded with state and/or federal funds and is being provided for employees of school districts, employees of the Mississippi Department of Education and Department contractors. Miss. Const. Art. 4, Section 66 prohibits governing authorities from making donations. According to the Mississippi Attorney General, once the federal funds are turned over to the state, the rules for the expenditure of state funds apply. Based on the Mississippi law, this event is not being provided for third party vendors or external providers.
